The Objectives of the Conference
This conference is a culmination of broad issues on Borneo, i.e. conservational issues, scientific findings, action research, and discussion forum. This benefits Borneo’s stakeholders, the people in general:
- To promote scientific research in the social, biological and medical sciences in Borneo;
- To enable the research community, interested Borneo government departments, and others to keep abreast of ongoing research and its results;
- To serve as a vehicle for drawing attention to urgent research and its results;
- To coordinate the flow of information on Borneo research arising from many diverse sources;
- To disseminate rapidly the initial results of research activity;
- To inform the interested public about research in Borneo.
