FORMULASI STEARIN, MINYAK KELAPA DAN MINYAK ZAITUN DALAM PEMBUATAN SABUN MANDI PADAT DENGAN PENAMBAHAN MENTIMUN (Cucumis sativus L.)
ABSTRACT
Bath soapsolidcontent offruitsand plantshas now become onebath soap productsarewidely favoredby the public. Bath soapscan be madeby addingextractsorpiecesoffresh fruitsand herbsthat has benefits forthe skin. Generally,almostall fruits andplants havegood benefits for thehuman skin, for example, isa cucumber.
The purpose of this study was to know the effect stearin, palm oil, olive oil and the
addition of cucumber in the manufacture of soap solid and formulation know stearin, coconut oil and olive oil are appropriate to produce the solid toilet soap with chemical and sensory properties best fit SNI 06-3532 -1994.
This research using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) treatment consisting of 6
standard and repeated about 4 times. The results were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). For organoleptic test result data, scale converted using the MSI (Method of Successive Interval) before analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). If the F-test are significant differences in treatment, it will be continued withLeast Significance Different Test(LSD) at level αof 5%.
The results showedthat the use ofstearin, olive oil, coconut oiland the additionof
cucumberon asolidbath soapsignificant effecton the water content 15,33%, free fatty acids
2,12%, and fats arenotsaponified 1,96%. Butnosignificant effecton theorganoleptic value.
